In certain diseases, the ratios of metabolites differ significantly from the standardized healthy baseline, making these ratios valuable quantitative biomarkers for specific diseases. By analyzing individual metabolic data, a metabolomics precision medicine platform can tailor personalized medical treatments.

Lifespin launched its first commercial product, the Lifespin Amino Acid Profiler (LAAP), in May 2023. The LAAP uses NMR to scan hundreds of metabolites in a patient’s blood sample, creating a digital twin of the patient. This digital twin is then compared to other patient profiles in Lifespin’s proprietary database, facilitating precise and personalized medical interventions.

Lifespin and ACU’s partnership targets expansion into Africa and the Arabian Peninsula, with a specific focus on the Middle East.
