The Dutch Healthcare Institute (ZIN) recently released an updated list outlining medical procedures eligible for reimbursement under basic health insurance, accompanied by specific restrictions or limitations denoted by “claim” codes (aanspraakcodes). These codes are assigned by the Dutch Healthcare Authority, aligning with positions defined by ZIN.
Among the recently introduced procedures, code 032489, covering “Diagnostic navigation bronchoscopy, including one or more test excisions, curettage and/or aspiration of material for cytological and/or pathological examination,” made its debut on the list under “claim” code 2601 denoting “Various restrictions.” Similarly, procedure codes 031920 and 031921, involving “Inserting an active middle ear implant” and “Replacing a hearing aid with an active middle ear implant,” respectively, joined the list with the same “claim” code 2601 and various restrictions.

Newly Added Procedures on Reimbursement List
Adding to the updated list is procedure code 050531, pertaining to “Complex molecular diagnostics – gene expression test based on 21 genes, oncotype DX,” which has been included with “claim” code 2601 indicating “Various restrictions.”
Furthermore, four distinct procedure codes — 037430 (De-infibulation), 037431 (Clitoral reconstruction with vaginal flap covering), 037432 (Creation of a clitoral hood after previous clitoral reconstruction), and 037433 (Labia reconstruction) — have been incorporated into the list with the “claim” code 2601, signifying “Various restrictions.”
